The National Renewable Energy Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit
organization dedicated to helping Americans use less energy and to use
more renewable energy in the future.
Purposes
-
To educate regarding the need
for and benefits of energy conservation
-
To
educate regarding the need for and benefits of creating and using
renewable energy resources
-
To research energy
conservation methods and potential renewable energy resources
-
To
develop and promote the use of products and services that support
energy conservation and the creation and use of renewable energy
resources
-
To
provide information and services that assists in energy conservation
and the development and use of renewable energy resources
-
To
serve as an independent energy conservation and renewable energy
certification body.
Membership
The National Renewable Energy Association was incorporated in the state
of Mississippi on April 13, 2007, and received its 501(c)(3) distinction
from the IRS on October 5, 2007. NREA is now accepting charter member
applications for its for first 100 members. Charter members enjoy one
lifetime member fee.
