According to Census 2000, 60.3%† of Americans work at a desk each day. To further our efforts to educate and monitor sustainability in the United States, NREA has devised a questionnaire to determine the level of sustainability any business's administrative practice (without focusing on your industry). Sustainability means that your office can run in this manner indefinitely because you consume resources at a rate equal to or less than the rate they can be replenished. This includes both energy an products, but a common example of sustainable practices would be to use the paper products created by a tree farm in the same or less amount of time as it takes for the tree farm to create a new batch of paper products. Once you've completed the survey, you'll have the opportunity to review recommendations for each survey section, and NREA will estimate how many years your business can continute to operate at your current level of sustainability.
